Environments & Scenes
The environment selector controls the scene your video is filmed in — the room, surface, lighting, and backdrop behind your persona and product. Choosing an environment is a required step in the generation wizard so the AI can lock a consistent set across every keyframe and segment.
Why environments matter
By locking the room, surface, and lighting up front, U-Gen holds the same background across every shot — no jarring scene changes mid-video — and gives you control over where your product is shown instead of leaving the backdrop to chance. Behind the scenes, the chosen scene becomes a reference image the keyframe model matches, keeping the environment identical from the first shot to the last.
The three environment modes
Smart Scene
Free · all plansThe default, zero-effort option. Based on your product and persona, U-Gen recommends a fitting environment and renders a preview image. Accept it to lock it into your job, or iterate for a different look (each Smart Scene preview iteration costs 8 credits). The accepted preview is passed to keyframe generation as a scene reference.
Presets
Free · all plansPick from U-Gen’s curated library of ready-made environments — kitchens, bathrooms, studios, outdoor sets, and more. A fast way to get a polished, professional backdrop without describing or uploading anything.
Upload & Build
Creator+ (build) · Business+ (upload)One combined, chat-driven studio. Describe the scene in text, upload a real photo of your own space (your bathroom, kitchen, showroom), or start from a preset — then iterate in the chat until it is right. Gives brands precise, conversational control over their backdrop.
Save to My Scenes
When you generate a Smart Scene preview you like, use Save to My Scenes to keep it in your personal environment library. Saved scenes are reusable across future videos for a consistent brand look and appear alongside the preset library in the environment picker — turning a one-off AI recommendation into a permanent, reusable backdrop.
Smart Scene is free; iterations cost credits
